Swiss Food Research maintains regular and privileged relationships with the major European innovation partners of the food sector.

CTI: The Commission for Technology and Innovation

As the Confederation’s innovation promotion agency, CTI lends support to R&D projects, to entrepre-neurship as well as to the development of start-up companies. CTI helps to optimise knowledge and technology transfer through the use of thematic and regional networks and platforms.

EuroAgri FoodChain

EuroAgri FoodChain is part of the pan-European programme EUREKA which promotes the international cooperation between food companies with the aim of improving their competitiveness through innovation. The national coordinator for EuroAgri FoodChain is Jean-Claude Villettaz, co-president of Swiss Food Research. Do not hesitate to contact him.

 

Food Cluster Initiative

The European Food Cluster initiative is a scheme designed to set up a European cluster based on the network established within the project FINE (Food Innovation Network Europe). Swiss Food Research is a member of the Food Cluster Initiative.

 

HighTech Europe

High Tech Europe is a network of excellence in the food processing sector with the final goal of setting up a European Institute for Food Processing. Swiss Food Research is an associate member of High Tech Europe.

 

COST: European Cooperation in Science and Technology

COST is an intergovernmental framework for European and international cooperation and coordination of nationally funded research activities. COST seeks to establish and maintain networks between researchers involved in fundamental and pre-competitive research. Cooperation within the COST framework is based on the following basic principles: Bottom-up (thematically open calls for proposals), flexible participation structures, voluntary participation, COST Actions open to all COST member states, and nationally funded research.  COST Actions - open for participations

Euresearch / 7th Framework Programm

The mission of Euresearch is to increase the participation of Swiss researchers and companies in European projects, thus firmly anchoring the academic community in the European research area and fostering the competitiveness of Swiss companies. Our network provides expert advice, professional training and hands-on support in all phases of applying for and managing European projects.

Eurostars

The Eurostars initiative concentrates on small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) which devote over 10% of their turnover to R&D activities. SMEs can work with the best European research teams through Eurostars and improve their competitive capacity in the field of knowledge and innovation. Eurostars is part of the EUREKA framework.

Enterprise Europe Network

EEN helps SMEs build business relationships in the field of applied R&D or offers support with the commercialisation of newly developed products/services/technologies. It covers all economic sectors.

Transparent Food

The new European Platform "Transparent Food" was launched for networking of all interested parties from industry and research, who want to develop transparency in the food value chain. SFR is actively involved as a board member.

myScience.ch

myScience.ch gives an overview of science, research, universities, R&D companies and research centers in Switzerland. myScience.ch provides practical information on employment, funding and daily life as well as science news, the job portal, the scientific agenda and the portal for continuing education.
